On a very fundamental level, this collection of clothing and still life arrangements are studies in observation. I spent a good deal of time analyzing the colour and form of each object, seeking to interpret them in a satisfying way. Using support size and composition, I also practised ways to manage the narrative. However in so doing, I’m realizing that the story is perhaps not mine to control. Objects mean different things to different people. I’ve cracked open a Pandora’s box of the visuals taking on a life of their own. |
